Your Instructor
Kathy Armstrong MMus, MA, is a Faculty Instructor in the School for Studies in Art and Culture’s Music program at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Kathy combines her training in classical percussion and music education with her thirty years of studies in Ghanaian music and dance to offer an integrated and community-based approach in her work. She was the founding director of Baobab Community Arts, and regularly cohosts educational trips to Ghana with her longtime teacher and mentor, Kwasi Dunyo.
